Our event is a fundraiser that benefits the Children’s Leukemia Foundation of Michigan (CLF). Please consider helping us achieve our goals. CLFis a non-profit statewide organization which provides information,financial assistance, and emotional support to more than 4,500 familiesof adults and children affected by leukemia, lymphoma, and other related blood disorders. Until there's a cure, CLF is here to help families overcome the challenges these conditions present.
Here’s how you can help:
Please consider contributing an item to our silent auction. You, your employer, or both can donate an item. Some items that have sold well in other auctions are gift baskets, wine,holiday items, children’s toy items, food items, gift certificates,electronic equipment, spa packages, sporting event tickets, movietickets, restaurant packages, and books. Gift Certificates work well for those business located outside the Dearborn Area as they can easily be mailed to us and they also provide a way forthe winner to “shop with you”.
Mark you calendar now and plan to attend the silent auction on March 4, 2012. The auction will be held in conjunction with our Expo between the entrance and exit of the Dome Room of the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center.
We encourage you to bring your friends and colleagues for a fun day of shopping and pampering. Discount coupons for admissions can be printed by visiting our website at: www.showforwomen.com. Your generosity will be acknowledged during the event in our program that will reach all attendees. In 2011, we welcomed about 2,500 attendees. We raise funds for CLF teen programs and we do this in memory of Brittany Crawford, Janeen’s daughter and Julie’s niece, who lost her battle at only 16 years old on December 1, 2002.
You can mail your silent auction item to us or call to arrange a pickup. All donations must be received by us by February 28, 2012. This will allow us to inventory the item and “promote it for display”.

$30 provides one Stepping Stones, a manual designed to address some of the most common issues of newly diagnosed individuals and families. $40 covers the cost of round trip travel to a treatment center- as much as 500 miles. $80 will provide a free, fun filled family event while allowing families the opportunity to interact with one another. $100 covers the cost of a wig or other head coverings. $300 will brighten the holiday time by providing gifts to a child patient and his or her siblings and to children of adult patients. $500 maintains a family's rent for one month, making it possible to afford out-of-town lodging expenses so they can be at their loved one's side- where they belong. $1000 helps over the cost of an individual's prescription costs for one month. $1500 will help provide financial support services for one family for one year.
